With WSOE 7: The Tekken 7 & SoulCalibur VI Showdown on the way, each day we will be revealing two players from the lineup. Make sure to check back here daily to see if your favorite fighter made the cut!  Today’s announcement is our fourth of 7.

Sang-hyun “JeonDDing” Jeon

Notable Achievements:

  • OGN OSL Invitational 2019 – 5th Place
  • CEO 2019 – 13th Place
  • Thaiger Uppercut 2019 – 5th Place
  • Taipei Major 2019 – 9th Place
  • TOP Fighter CUP 2019 – 1st Place
  • Combo Breaker 2019 – 9th Place
  • SEA Major Singapore 2018 – 1st Place
  • CEO 2018 – 1st Place
  • Combo Breaker 2018 – 2nd Place

Joining WSOE from South Korea is Team UYU’s own JeonDDing. One thing that separates JeonDDing from the rest is his unique personality. Being able to travel the world playing Tekken is a dream come true for JeonDDing. In his roughly two years of competing professionally, JeonDDing has made waves with several high placings. Placing first at the TOP Fighter Cup, SEA Major Singapore, and CEO 2018, JenonDDing has proven that he has what it takes to finish an event strong.

Friends or foes? In 2018, JeonDDing netted his first-ever World Tour win at CEO Daytona. He was sent to the losers’ bracket by fellow UYU teammate Qudans, but made a dominant run defeating Book, JDCR, and Lil Majin to reach the Grand Final where Qudans was waiting. With a reset after a 3-0 win, JeonDDing finished off Qudans 2-1 and took the crown. At Combo Breaker 2018, he beat future teammate LowHigh in the Losers Final match to advance to the Winners Final to take on an undefeated Knee. Even though he placed second, JeonDDing capitalized on the momentum and grabbed a pair of 1st place event finishes shortly after. With JeonDDing’s reputation of beating teammates, perhaps there will be another UYU member invited to WSOE 7.

Mike “Sandman” Sandman

Notable Achievements:

  • Next Level Battle Circuit 175 2019 – 2nd Place
  • Combo Breaker 2019 – 4th Place
  • The MIXUP 2019 – 5th Place
  • FINAL ROUND 2019 – 4th Place
  • Winter Brawl 3D 2019 – 3rd Place
  • Frosty Faustings XI 2019 – 1st Place
  • Next Level Battle Circuit 146 2018 – 1st Place
  • Next Level Battle Circuit 145 2018 – 2nd Place
  • Next Level Battle Circuit 141 2018 – 1st Place

Our fourth SoulCalibur player joining us at WSOE 7 is Sandman. Representing the East coast, Sandman works full time as a Software Engineer in Boston, Massachusetts. Finding a balance between work and competing isn’t always easy for Sandman. At the age of 33, he won his first major event at Frosty Faustings XI in January of 2019. That’s not all that he won at that event, however. On the same day, Sandman placed first in the Windjammers event as well.

Next Level Battle Circuit Rival. In 2018, Sandman started to dominate the Next Level Battle Circuit with two firsts and a second place. It was at this point that a rivalry was born with linkorz. At Next Level Battle Circuit 145, Sandman was able to place higher than linkorz. Linkorz came back and beat Sandman in the Grand Finals of Winter Brawl 3D shortly after. In their next meeting at FINAL ROUND 2019, Sandman was able to beat linkorz yet again, but was only able to secure a 4th place finish. Even though Sandman did not get into competing until his late 20s, he believes that he can beat anyone and will be looking to do so at WSOE 7!
